K7MVA Field Day 2009 at the College of Southern Idaho, Twin Falls, Idaho

The Herrett Center, Faulkner Planetarium, located on the campus of the College of Southern Idaho was the location of our ARRL Field Day exercise this year.  Wonderful accommodations and lots of grassy areas with shade!

The K6ZVA EMCOMM trailer was set up and in operation Saturday.  Many HF contacts were made from this trailer along with an "amateur television" demonstration for the Southern Idaho Regional Communication Center.  SIRCOMM handles public safety dispatch for most of the police and fire departments in the Magic Valley.

Patience is a virtue when you are a 6 meter fan.  Jim, W6OUU, is waiting "patiently" for 6 meters to come alive.  His patience was rewarded as the band did come alive later in the day.
