This was the supporting mast for Bill Carver's (W7AAZ) 20 and 40 meter sloper.  When not being used as an antenna it can be used as a fishing pole for catching the BIG ONE!

This was probably the most revered and sacred part of the event.  This is where Terry Fletcher, K7THF, and his XYL (seated in the background) prepared the Tri-Tip steak sandwiches and chicken legs on the special pellet grill.  This was EXCELLENT!

Looking from the cooking area, this little part served as our operating point for Field Day.  In the foreground, Kelly (K7SU) at the operating postion.  To the left is the tripod mounted - Hustler mobile whip dipole antenna.  In the background were those involved in conversation from working the "rare" one to solving the most pressing problems of the world.  In that regard the day was a tremendous success.

This is the portable dipole used by Kelly  (K7SU).  Each leg of the dipole consists of a Hustler mobile antenna.  To change bands you change the resonators on both legs of the dipole.  Kelly (and others) made many contacts on 20 meters using this setup on Field Day.  Kelly did make a revision to this setup after field day...he lengthened the legs so sandbags are no longer needed.  It also raises the antenna about two more feet off the ground.
